Welcome to the New Zealand Country Music Network

Following the sad loss of Ann Pascoe, TLC Radio has re-organised and now again welcomes music to be submitted for airplay consideration. Please see below for information on the method and details on where to send it.

Here you will find details and information about all things Country in New Zealand.

Message to artists

TLC Radio welcomes CDs from most sources for air play on the eight LPFM stations we currently operate in the North Island of New Zealand. See below for email and address information.

Please note that unsolicited *compilation* CDs will no longer be considered for air play. This is a consequence of the increasing number of such CDs flooding the market and swamping operations such as ours, to the detriment of artists who take the trouble to liaise directly with us.

Also, please note CDs sent without a separate track titles list are less likely to be accepted because of the extra time taken to process them.

TLC Radio is proud to be associated with
The Joyce Ramgatie TOP 200 Country Music Chart
And Number 1 Message Board.

Address Information

If you have material that you wish to send to us by email, including high quality mp3 files (128K is the absolute minimum), please send to music@countrymusic.net.nz.

For air play on TLC Radio, send your CDs to

The History of TLC Radio
The Little Country Radio with the BIG HEART

* The original TLC Radio station is in Otahuhu, broadcasting these days on 107.7 MHz. It is run by Robert Dew, who was responsible for the concept at the start, and who has kept it viable from its earliest days right up to the present time. He has seen the Country Music Network go through many incarnations following the demise of the Merv Smith inspired country music station that broadcast for a while on the 93.8 MHz commercial frequency. The fact that many Auckland people over the years have been able to continue to listen to this genre of music is due to Robert's efforts. (PRS, December 2004)

* TLC Radio's second station is run by Ann Pascoe. It began operating from country artist Ron Hayward's lounge, then his garage, in Stratford, Taranaki on 107.7 FM in June 2003. It then moved to the Taranaki Accomodation Lodge in Stratford, commencing transmission from "the cupboard of the brooms" on 26th October 2003.

* The third station was the addition of WCCR (Waitakere City Country Radio) on 107.5 MHz, run by Peter Shaw. It commenced broadcasting the TLC Radio programme in Te Atatu South on 27th June 2004.

* The fourth TLC Radio station, went to air in Huntly on 107.0 MHz on 17th November 2004, broadcasting from the top of the i-SITE Visitor centre at 160 Great South Road, Huntly. A frequency change to 107.1 was made when the equipment was upgraded on 7th December 2005.

* TLC Radio's fifth station started broadcasting the full programme on 107.1 MHz on Thursday 17th November 2005 from the top of the Hinepare Accommodation Centre located on Hospital Hill in Napier, following a period of broadcasting a test transmission which commenced on Thursday 9th September 2005. The station is managed by Country Music aficionado Bob Dyer.

OBITUARY:
Ann Pascoe

TLC Radio Stratford
Artist, CM supporter, friend.
Music programmer
for TLC Radio

It is with the deepest sadness that the TLC Radio team announces the passing away of Ann after an illness on the morning of Friday 3rd October 2014.

Ann ran the Stratford TLC Radio station for many years, and was TLC Radio's music programmer for even longer, right up until this year when her illness prevented her from continuing.

We are all going to miss her and the huge amount of good work she did for Country Music.
